Aanen Aanenson, 74, Champlin, died at Unity Hospital, Fridley, July 31, 1990.

Services were Aug. 3 in Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Aanenson was born May 2, 1916, in Luverne. He lived there until he was 19 years old, then moved to New York, Chicago and Minneapolis. He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska from 1942-45 during World War II.

He married Helen Ball June 5, 1954.

Mr, Aanenson was a member of the VFW, The American Legion, Nordkap Male Chorus of Minneapolis, The sons of Norway and Zion Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Aanenson; Douglas Aanenson, Blaine; daughter Louise, Andover, Minn.; stepson David Ball, Elk River; five brothers, Arnie, Selmer and Edwin Aanenson, all of Luverne, Erling Aanenson, Sweetwater, Texas, and Theodore Aanenson, Sioux Falls; two sisters, Selma Gyberg, Beaver Creek, and Luella Braa, Luverne.

Mr. Aanenson was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
