Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Jane Marple, 71 years of age, were held at the home here Saturday with the Rev. R. L. Sleamaker in charge. Burial was in Brookside. Mrs. Marple, a native of Casey County, died at the home on Poplar Street Thursday evening, after an illness of several months. She professed faith early in life and was a member of the Pine Grove Methodist Church in Casey County. Surviving are her husband, Dave Marple, and six children, Charles Marple, George Marple, and Fred Marple, Campbellsville; Linus Marple, Greenville, Ind.; Mrs. Easton Sanders, of Louisville; and Mrs. Elmer Benningfield, Campbellsville. She also leaves three sisters: Mrs. Sarah Wooldridge, Illinois, Mrs. Ervin Romine, Detroit, and Mrs. Josie White, city. She also leaves 15 grandchildren. The pallbearers were W. T. Strong, J. L. McCubbin, G. W. Buchanan, Truman Raffety, Mell Sinclair and Clemmons Sinclair.
