Mr. Charles Marple, 66, of 109 Howell Street in Campbellsville, son of the late Mr. Dave Marple and Mrs. Nancy Jane Lyons Marple, was born in Taylor County, June 28, 1913. He died at 8:42 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, 1979, at the Taylor County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past three days. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Maple retired from the General Telephone Company in June, 1978, after 35 years of service. He united in marriage to Mrs. Emma Appleby Gover, Dec. 2, 1954. Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother and one sister: Mr. George Marple of Campbellsville and Mrs. Myrtle Benningfield of Louisville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Chapel by Dr. J. Chester Badgett and Rev. George Blevens. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
