An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Thursday, December 6, 1972:

William F. (Scoote) White, 55, of Rt. 3, Belton, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon in the Summers Mill community of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will he held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Heartfield Funeral Home cha|pel in Belton, with Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.
Mr. White was born May 26, 1918 in Coryell County. A [?] native, he lived most of his life in Coryell and Bell counties.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He was president of the Belton Riding Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy White of Belton; seven sons, Bill White Donnie White, and Kenneth White, all of Waco James White and Junior White of Gatesville, Jerry White of California, and John White of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Bert of Missouri and Mrs. Betty Kirkpatrick of Waco; three step-daughters, Mrs. Norma Upchurch of Waco, Mrs. Kathy Alston of Temple, and Mrs. Sandy Maxey of California; four brothers, Barney White of Temple, M. H. White of Temple, Johnnie White of Belton, and Doyle White of Belton; and five sisters, Mrs. Claudis Autrey of Temple, Mrs. Murval Gartman of Gatesville, Mrs. Artie Gartman of Pearl, Mrs. A. B. Wilkinson of Bee House, and Mrs. C. B. Delaney of Heidenhammer.
Pallbearers for the funeral services will be Mr. White's nephews.
