Belton--- Funeral services for Lonnie Doyle White, 88 of Temple, will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. A visitation will be held Monday, May 27, 2013 from 6PM to 8PM. Mr. White died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home in Temple. He was born June 27, 1924 in Gatesville, Texas to John White and Elizabeth (Manning) White. He served honorably in the United States Navy. Mr. White worked for 38 years for Cloud Construction and was a member of Carpenters Local, VFW, and the Elks Lodge in Temple. He was a jack of all trades and loved carpentry and ranching. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna Faye (White) Patton; three brothers; four sisters and a twin sister, Doris Autrey. Survivors included one son, Gary D. White; one daughter, Sharon K. (White) Moore; one brother, Barney E. White; eight grandchildren, Neil Elliott, Karla Hedrick, Amanda Maxwell, Ashleigh Seasholtz, Abbe Youngblood, Amy Moore, Billy White, Kaycie Falkenburg; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scott and White Hospice, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, Texas 76508 or The Moffat Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 2108 Temple, Texas
