Funeral services for Barney Earl White, 80, of Temple will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Minister Darrell Knight officiating. Burial will be in Moffat Cemetery. Mr. White died Monday at his residence. Mr. White was born in Gatesville to John Alexander White and Elizabeth Manning White. He attended school in Turnersville. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Florine Hodges June 10, 1953. He was a heavy equipment operator having worked for A. White Construction, Chaney Construction, Cloud Construction and Dixon Paving. He lived in Temple most of his life and was a member of Elks Lodge #138. He was preceded in death by his son Paul A. White in 2007. Survivors include his wife Florine White of Temple; one daughter Joy Guenzel and her husband Jack Edwards of Troy; family friends Kip and Debbie Guenzel of Temple; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Elks Club #138. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
