Everett Lowell Foster, son of Hamilton Jefferson and Flora (Jordan) Foster, was born June 20, 1918 near Hamburg, Iowa. He grew up in Fremont County and attended the Riverton Schools. He served in the USS Army Infantry during World War II.

On July 22, 1950, Everett married Ruby Raymond at Farragut, Iowa. Following their marriage they lived in the Riverton and Farragut area.

Everett had been employed at the Farmer's CO-OP in Riverton, was a custodian at the Riverton School, and for 11 years prior to his retirement had worked at Missouri Beef.

He was a member of Williams-Jobe-Gibson American Legion Post #128 in Sidney and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Preceding him in death were his parents; nine brothers and sisters, Faye Gray, Lee Foster, Mildred Rea, Edna Forgey, Gladys Rea, June Smalley, Amos Foster, Delbert Foster, and Erskin Foster; and his first wife, Rose.

He is survived by his wife Ruby of rural Farragut; four children, Michael L Foster and wife Sherry of Santa Cruz, California; Susan Foster of Shenandoah, Rebecca Foster of Clarinda, Gregg Foster and wife Carolyn of Shenandoah; one sister, Marlene and husband Lester Racine of Coin, two sisters-in-law, Rita Foster of Farragut and Joanie Foster of Rock Port, Missouri, one brother-in-law, John Rea, Sr. of Stanton, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Everett died Thursday, November 25, 1993 at Bethesda Care Center in Clarinda. He was 75 years of age.
