Robert Franklin Roberts was the son of Charles Middleton Breaker Roberts and Agnes Jane Hale Roberts. The records of the Madison County Texas Courthouse and the WWI Draft Records give his date of birth as December 18, 1880.

There is confusion about Robert's date of birth. His gravestone and other records give his date of birth as December 18, 1882.

Robert's family lived in Madisonville, Texas until 1895 when they moved to the Alvin and Galveston area of the Texas Gulf Coast. Robert was in the household of his father on the 1900 and 1910 census.

Robert Franklin Roberts married Ada Amelia Smith about 1914. They lived in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas all of their married lives. There were no children.

Robert's WWI Draft Card states that he is in San Antonio, Bexar County at 108 Felicia Street. His next kin is wife, Ada Amelia Roberts. He is medium height, small build, age 37, d.o.b. 12/18/1880. His occupation is telephone lineman. Signed by Robert Franklin Roberts, Aug. 12, 1918.

Robert was a lineman and construction foreman as well as a building manager with the telephone companies in San Antonio most of his adult life. He was a Mason and a member of Masonic Lodge #424.

Robert Franklin Roberts was age 66 when he died in San Antonio, Texas and is buried in Sunset Park next to his wife Ada Amelia Smith Roberts.
