Mrs. Herman Bogaard died at her home in Pella at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 4, 1915, aged 61 years, 28 days. The cause of her death was typhoid fever which she contracted about seven weeks before her death. She was recovering from her illness, when, two weeks ago, she suffered a relapse, death soon following.

Mrs. Bogaard was born near Pella and her life was spent in this community. Her first husband, L. Vander Linden, died thirteen years ago. She married Herman Bogaard seven years ago. She leaves five sons and four daughters. They are: Marinus Vander Linden of Pella; Gid of Roswell, N.M., John of Des Moines, Harry of Henderson, N.C.; Will, an adopted son of Pulaski, IA; Mrs. T. Vander Meiden of Pella; Mrs. J. T. McCracken and Miss Mae Vander Linden of Durham, N.C. and Miss Anna Vander Linden of Ames. There are also several step-children. The children were all home for the funeral.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church, Monday, November 8, at ten o'clock. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery -Pella Chronicle, November 18,1915
