Charles Louis "Red" Adams, 77, of Caruthersville, died Feb. 18, 1991 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 25, 1913 at Gayoso, he was the son of Charles Henry and Elzie M. Hopper Adams. He attended schools at Hayti and was a World War II veteran, where he received two Bronze Stars serving his country. He was a member of Pemiscot County American Legion Post 88 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 463.
He is survived by two brothers, Willard Adams of Bernie and J.W. Adams of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Pride of Kennett and Mrs. Lucille Fox of Caruthersville; And a special companion, Allie Adams of Caruthersville.
Services were Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Jim Watkins officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery.
