Velma Lucille Fox, 93, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, November 14, 2003 at the Pemiscot Memeorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born September 11, 1910 in Pascola, Mo. she was the daughter of the late Charley H. Adams and Eliza Mae Hopper Adams. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother, John W. Adams and 3 sisters Mary Frances Pride, Stella Clutts and Ruby Adams.
She attended the Hayti schools.
Velma was united in marriage to Wilson Fox on August 26, 1928 in Blytheville, Ark.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Mrs. Fox leaves 2 sons; G.W. Fox and Ronnie Fox of Caruthersville and 2 daugthers; Shirley Fox of Caruthersville and Peggy Fox Johnson of Piggott; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Willard Adams of Bernie, Mo.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Fox were held at 11:30 am, Monday, November 17, 2003 at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville. Burial was at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville with H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
