Services for Miss Ruby Lea Adams, 61, who died at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis on September 29, were held at 3 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Calvin Reynolds officiating. Interment was in Maple Cemetery.
She was born in Hayti, June 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Elzie M. Adams. She attended Caruthersville Schools and before retiring, was a clerk at the Chaffin Hotel in Caruthersville.
Survivors include: three brothers; Louis (Red) Adams of Caruthersville, J.W. Adams of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Willard Adams of Bernie.
Two sisters; Mrs. Lucille Fox of Caruthersville and Mrs. Mary Frances Pride of Kennett.
Pallbearers for the service were: Harold Lloyd Hinchey, Verland Stubbs, Charles Hendricks, Joe Ledford, Robert Tillman, and Bill Simmons.
