Died 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1989, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 71, a native of Walker and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Gulf States Utilities Co. employee. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, after 10 a.m. until religious services at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Frank Drury. Burial in Palmetto Cemetery, Walker.

Survived by wife, Pauline Brown Milton; four daughters, Mrs. Acy (Barbara) Whitehead, Mrs. Bob (Ruby) McCarthy, Mrs. Kenneth (June) Harris and Mrs. B.J. (Judy) Tourere, all of Baton Rouge; a son, Wilson Milton Jr., Baton Rouge; eight sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Evelyn) Hatchell, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Swearenger, Mrs. Carlene Bendily and Mrs. Azalee Bendily, all of Denham Springs, Mrs. Ida Watson and Mrs. Stanley (Merle) Collins, both of Walker, Mrs. Mary Villar, Gonzales, and Mrs. Fletcher (Leona) Huntley, Picayune, Miss.; three brothers, Harry Milton, Morris Milton and Mike Milton, all of Walker; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Elliot Monroe Milton and Mary Kellar Milton; a daughter, Julia Mae Milton; two brothers, and two sisters.

He was a member of Brownfields Baptist Church and Baker Masonic Lodge No. 441.
