A native and resident of Walker, she passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, at her home. She was 82. Visitation at Judson Baptist Church, Walker, on Tuesday, July 5, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Merelin McCon. Burial in Judson Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Yvette Collins; sister, Evelyn Hatchel; grandchildren, Mike, Adam and Marcus Collins and Kimberlyn Thornton; great-grandchildren, Nickole Thornton and Emma Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley D. Collins; son, Russell Collins; parents, Elliott and Mary Milton; sisters, Azalea, Carlene, Rosa and Grace Bendily, Dorothy Carpenter, Mary Villar, Leona Huntley and Ida Watson; and brothers, Harry, Morris, Mike, Wilson and Bill Milton, Joe Stephens.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hilda, Dot, Donna and Robbie for their care that they gave to Ms. Collins.
