William was the fourth child of Isaac and Gracie Butler Myers. On October 13, 1860 the Probate Court of Rankin County send summons to the Sheriff of Scott County for William and Henry Myers. They were to appear before the Court on the 2nd Monday of November 1860. This summon had to do with the estate of Isaac Myers. These records are recorded in book C page 420 of the Chancery Court in Brandon.

Addition:
William Bennett Myers was the father of Henry P. Myers who married Martha Jane Ficklin after the Civil War. Henry was in the 6th MS Inf during the Civil War. Henry and Mattie moved to Montgomery County, TX in the 1880s. Henry died around 1900 and Martha Jane in the 1920s.
