Beulah Pearl Hradecky, 96, of Sterling, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998 in Sterling. Visitation will begin Friday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 23, at 10 am. at Tennant Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Peacock
officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hradecky was born on December 19, 1901 to Orley and Leona (Rossiter) Cochran in Hollis, Kan. She married Abe Earnest Brown on June 20,1920 in Yetta, Colorado. They moved to Fleming in 1928 and to Sterling in 1955. She moved back to Fleming in 1962. She worked at the Logan County Hospital for four years. She married Vernon Hradecky on June 24, 1948 in Fort Morgan. She moved to the Sterling Living Center in 1991. She was a lifetime member of the Senior Citizen Club, a greeter at the meet and eat when it was at the Episcopal Church and at the Heritage Center until she entered Sterling Living Center.
She is survived by her children: Zelma Ballinger of Sterling, Eugene Brown of Fleming, Lavina Stout of Salt Lake City, Utah, Irma Loux of Aurora, Finnis Brown of Fleming, Lavern Volz of Sterling and Lonnie Brown of Aztec, N.M.; 15 grandchildren, 41 greatgrandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, one grand daughter and one great-grand daughter.
