Lester M. (Ted) Smith, 71, Paddock Lake, died early Sunday morning at Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 22, 1898, in Salem township, he resided there all his life. On March 22, 1922, in Waukegan, Ill., he married Leona Hartnell. Mr. Smith owned Smith's Electric Shop in Paddock Lake, and was a member of Junker Ball Post, VFW, Kenosha; Schultz Hahn American Legion Post 293, Silver Lake, and the Amateur Radio Relay League. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jack L., Kenosha, and James A., Paddock Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Marks, Kenosha, and three grandchildren. Also surviving him are a brother, Virgil Smith, of Chicago, and a sister, Florence Smith, also of Chicago.
