Born March 22, 1912 in Jackson County, Ky., she was the daughter of Deborah Wakes and Ewell Isaacs. She married Lloyd H. Baker, Sr. on Dec. 7, 1928 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1985.
She was a homemaker. She lived in the Laurel community for many years and was a member of the Laurel First Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Lloyd Baker, Jr. of Laurel, Charles F. Baker of Greenfield and Jessie Baker of Wabasso, Fla.; four daughters, Evelyn Barnes of Buena Vista, Ind., Geneva Baker of Laurel, Reba Eldridge of Connersville, Ind., and Betty Brewer of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one sister, Lucy Ward; one half-sister, Leslie Johnson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one infant daughter and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday at the Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville, Ind., with the Rev. Kenneth Bates.
Burial will take place at Hopewell Cemetery in Rush County.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service, Monday, at the mortuary.
