Betty Brewer, 73, of Connersville, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. She was born on July 19, 1944, in Franklin County, Indiana, and is one of seven children for Lloyd Baker Sr. and Florence Isaacs Baker.
For many years she worked as a certified nurse’s assistant in Batesville until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers, doing several arts and crafts, and playing Bingo. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family and grandchildren, and she loved to cook for them.
She is survived by her partner, Charles “Wayne” Plummer; two daughters, Kim (John) Dickman, of Batesville, and Kelly Jackson, of Connersville; a son, David Atwell, of Nice, FL; two brothers, Charles “Bud” (Alice) Baker, of North Vernon, IN, and Jesse Baker, of North Carolina; two sisters, Geneva Baker and Evelyn (John) Barnes, both of Laurel; seven grandchildren, Anthony Tyler Jackson, Shonn Jackson, Bailey Sledge, Zack Dickman, Brandi Lewis, Shawn (Christina) Sizemore, and Abigail Atwell; eight great-grandchildren, Rakon Jackson, Lane Sizemore, Lily Sizemore, Leah Sizemore, Levi Sizemore, Tristin Lewis, Cage Lewis, and Mason Lewis, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Baby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Reba Eldridge, and a brother, Lloyd Baker Jr.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 11:00am until 1:00pm, at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm, with Pastor Jeff Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
