MRS. M.A. CARTER ANSWERS CALL

Mrs. Marguarite Anna Carter of Joseph passed away Wednesday, February the second, at the age of 82, which she would have reached the third of March. She was married to Sidney Carter in Provo but moved to this country some twenty years ago.

Mrs. Carter leaves three children, Mrs. Rachel Smith of Provo, Mrs. B.W. Hopkins of Delta and W.J. Carter of Delta, all of whom came to put their loved mother to rest. Funeral services were well attended for the deceased and her husband were well esteemed and well liked people of the community.

The speakers were Levi H. Jackman of Joseph, Joseph S. Horne of Richfield and John W. Ross of Richfield. Interment followed on the Joseph Cemetery.

One of the last little incidents in the life of the deceased was that she has a iron fence put around the lot bearing her and her husband's grave. She had this done out of the last pension money she received for her husband's services in the Black Hawk War.
