OBITUARY

Death of William August Braatz

William August Braatz, 71, Witoka carpenter, died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday at his home after an illness of three weeks.

He was born June 1, 1870, in Ridgeway, Pleasant Hill Township, and had lived in Winona County all of his life.

He married Luella Hamann 36 years ago last April.

Survivors are his wife; eight sons: Harold, Wilmer, Charles and Earl, Winona, and Arthur, Clarence, Franklin and Robert at home; six daughters: Mrs. Arthur Klagge, Mrs. Roy Rose and Mrs. Frank Kunda, Winona; Mrs. Arthur Dionysius, Lamoille, and Betty and Marian at home; eight grandchildren; one brother, Charles Braatz, Winona, and five sisters: Mrs. Paul Timm, Mrs. Edward Farnholtz, and Miss Anna Braatz, Winona; Mrs. Charles McNally, Pleasant Hill Township, and Mrs. George Davis, Pickwick.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Fawcett-Hillyer Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel on Tuesday evening and at anytime on Wednesday.

(Died at home in Witoka, Wilson Township, Winona, Minnesota at the age of 71. He is buried next to his wife, Luella Cecilia (Hamann) Braatz in Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona, Minnesota.)
