According to family, William and Nancy only had eight children, but it has been discovered there were two baby boys, Louis and Simon, that apparently died as infants or very young. The 1900 census does say Nancy was mother of ten children.

NOTE: William's sister Charlotte's obituary recently located reads that she was born on the 12th of the month, the same as William. It appears that they are for sure TWINS.
(lt 8-8-2014)
It is known that William was a minister of the gospel and he traveled from one area to another preaching. Little is known about his services or what his faith was. His wife, Nancy Ann, lovingly called "Grandma Miller" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren recalled that she would say "when he was gone working for the church." Older family members referred to Rev. Miller as a "circuit rider" which usually were those traveling from place to place for the ME church. It is not known if he was of the Methodist faith. Also, nothing has been found that he may have preached locally. Grandma Miller's faith is also unknown but her descendants mentioned she often sat on her rocking chair on the front porch reading her bible. Hopefully, something will turn up in the future that will fill in all now unknown.
