Death of Charlie Harris, Former Livermore Resident.
Charlie Harris, a former Livermore resident, born and raised here, died at his home in Gilmore City last Friday at the age of 69 yrs., on November 8, 1935.
Funeral Services were held at the Livermore Methodist Church in Livermore, IA, last Monday, with Rev. Hall of Gilmore City Methodist Church, Officiating.
Charles R. Harris, the son of George R. and Jane E. (Page) Harris, was born March 22, 1866 at Livermore, IA. He married Alta Jones and they continued to live in the Livermore area until three years ago when they moved to Gilmore City, IA.
He is survived by his wife: Alta of Gilmore City, IA; seven children: Dan Harris of Algona, IA; Minnie Irma Henry of Mankato, MN; Edith May Lewis of Fort Dodge, IA; Eva B. Nelson of Brantsburg, Wis.; Mary Beers of Badger, IA; and Harry Harris, and Chester Harris both at home in Gilmore City, IA. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren. He joins in Heaven his his parents; and two children.
Charles had been Baptized and Confirmed into the Christian Faith at the Livermore Methodist Church in Livermore, IA; where the Harris Family had been charter members of. He had also been a member of the Gilmore City Methodist in Gilmore City, IA; and was active in the Methodist Churches in the areas in which he lived. He had been a farmer.
