GRANITE FALLS- Mary Frances Fowler Taylor, 83, of N.C. 127 South, died Oct. 8, 2001, at Shaire Center.
Born May 21, 1918, in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Donel B. and Mattie Camilla Smith Fowler.
A member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Hickory, she retired from Frye Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse.
She was preceeded in death by a daughter, Donna Kay Taylor Phillips; a brother, Wyatt Smith Fowler; and a sister, Irene Fowler Lafevre.
Survivors include her husband, David Austin Taylor; two sons, David "Steve" Taylor of Lenoir and Eston Robert "Bob" Taylor of Hickory; a sister, Margaret L. Fowler of Granite Falls; and three grandsons.
The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Donald Ingle, Ron Winkler and Gordon Benton at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
The family will be at Mackie-High Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
