Margaret Lucille Fowler
Granite Falls, N.C. - Margaret Lucille Fowler, 87, of Granite Falls, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Lutheran Home-West.
She was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Caldwell County to the late Donel Bain Fowler and Mattie Camilla Smith Fowler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Frances Fowler Taylor and Irene Fowler Lafevre; one brother, Wyatt S. Fowler; and two nieces, Donna Kay Taylor Phillips and Ann Lafevre Tygard.
Mrs. Fowler was a member of Dudley Shoals Baptist Church and retired from Blue Ridge Community Action.
Survivors include nephews, Phil LaFevre, Lee LaFevre, Donel LaFevre, Bob Taylor, Steve Taylor and Wyatt Fowler Jr.; nieces, Inanna LaFevre, Camilla Taylor Holtsclaw, Debbie Fowler Lail and Polly Diane Fowler; a brother-in-law, David A. Taylor; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ron Winkler and Don Ingle officiating.
Burial will follow in Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, prior to the service, at the church.
