Helen Moser, age 92, a resident of Pierz, MN, died January 11, 1998, at St. Mary's Villa in Pierz.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held January 14 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN, with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Helen was born August 19, 1905 in Morrill Township, MN to Flaudy and Catherine (Kachmerzenski) Litke. She moved to Platte Township, MN, as a young girl and later was united in marriage with Andrew Moser on February 26, 1928. They farmed in Platte Township until 1958. Helen worked at Harding School as a part-time cook for five years, retiring in 1965. After Andrew passed away in 1974, Helen lived with her daughter until entering St. Mary's Villa in 1994. She loved flower gardening and watching birds. She also liked to take car rides with her children.
Survivors include seven sons, Norman and wife Darla of Brainerd, MN, Leroy and wife Glenda of Brainerd, Harlan of Pierz, Eugene and wife Mary Ann of Brainerd, Darryl and wife Theresa of Brainerd, Andrew, Jr., and wife Ann of Brainerd and Gary and wife Jackie of Pierz; one daughter, Shirley Andrea and husband Danny of Hillman, MN; 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Jack, Leo and Bill, all of Pierz and a sister, Alice Isle of Brainerd.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew on November 4, 1974; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; two sisters and one brother.
Casketbearers were grandsons, Dan Andrea, Jr., Jody Andrea, Bradley, Scott, Randy and Ricky Moser.
