Norman Andrew Moser, age 79, resident of Brainerd, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at the Pierz Villa in Pierz. Norman was born on June 5, 1928, in Cold Spring, Minn., to Andrew and Helen (Litke) Moser. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1951-1952. He married Darla Benbo on Dec. 31, 1953, in Fertile, Minn. Norman was a cattle farmer for 32 years. He worked as a construction lineman for Spalj Construction for 30 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW and the American Legion. He loved to garden and enjoyed watching things grow. Norman was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Darla; children, Debbie (Kurt) Peterson, of Brainerd, Rob (Diane) Moser, of Baxter, Sandra Moser, of the Twin Cities, Scott (Sheila) Moser, of Brainerd; grandchildren, Tim, Joe and Jennifer (Chisholm) Peterson, Amanda (Ranweiler) and Brandon Moser, Emilie and Adam Trask, Kayla and Kyle Waytashek, Kohler, Kendra and Kaitlin Moser; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, LeRoy Moser, Harley Moser, Eugene Moser, Andrew Moser, Darryl Moser, Gary Moser and Shirley Andrea.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Helen Moser.

Services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor David Holte officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Union Cemetery in St. Mathias Township with military honors provided by Brainerd American Legion Post No. 255 Color Guard. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and the hour before services at the church on Thursday.
