Alfred J. Litke, 73, of Route 4, Pierz, died Wednesday at St. Gabriel's Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Church in Harding. with the Rev. Leo Otto officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Ray Salinger, LeRoy Moser, Ronald Litke, Mike Litke, Robert Litke and Norman Meyers.
Visitation in the Shelley-Virnig Funeral Home in Pierz will begin at 3 p.m. today, where the parish prayers will be recited at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Litke was born Aug 28, 1903 at Mora, Minn. At the age of 11 he moved to Genola and later moved to Harding where he lived most of his life. He married Blanche Wallmark Dec. 29, 1929 in Harding and she preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 1975.
Survivors include his daughters, Mrs. Herb (Janice) Donek of Pierz, and Mrs. LeRoy (Marlene) Knopik of North St. Paul; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo, Jack and William, all of Pierz; and sisters, Mrs. Helen Moser of Pierz, and Mrs. Ralph (Alice) Isle of Brainerd.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Henry (Rose) Salinger and Mrs. Henry (Clara) Otten.
