Mary Lois Hosmer, 57, of Birmingham died Monday at Civic Center Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial will be in Powell Chapel Cemetery in Falkville. She was born on June 29, 1914 in Anderson in Lauderdale County to James Walter and Etta (Littrell) Stover. She was an employee at Trailways bus station. Survivors are her daughter, Carlyine Pierce of Somerville; her mother, Etta Stover of Hartselle; her sisters, Edna Lorene Dale and Rachel Sue Scheinert, both of Birmingham, Edith Mae Kelley of Guntersville, Frances Jewel "Peggy" Cheatwood of Cullman, Sarah Marie Blackwood of Hartselle, and Willodean "Dean" Rainey of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and her brothers, Adlie Oneal "Slim" Stover, Arthur Leslie "Jack" Stover, and Herman Curtis Stover, all of Decatur, and Hobert James Stover of Cullman.
