Decatur, Alabama
Funeral services for Herman Curtis Stover will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grant Street Church of Christ with Phillip Hines, Mike Nix, and Ralph Stout officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Shelton Funeral Home directing arrangements. He died on December 8, 2005 at Decatur General Hospital. He was born on May 13, 1926 in Five Points, Tennessee to James Walter and Etta (Littrell) Stover. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for NASA Marshall Space Flight Center prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jessie Mae (Blasingim) Stover; his sons, Donald Stover and Richard Stover, both of Trinity, and Thomas Stover of Decatur; his sisters, Frances Jewel "Peggy" Cheatwood of Cullman, Rachel Sue Scheinert of Trussville, and Sarah Marie Blackwood and Willodean "Dean" Rainey, both of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
