Edith Mae Kelley, 58, of Arab died on January 1, 1981 at Arab Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at New Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Earl Duncan and Rev. Albert Paterson, Jr. officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing arrangements. She was born on February 1, 1922 in Athens to James Walter and Etta (Littrell) Stover. Her husband, Sidney Austin Kelley, died on August 24, 1974. She is survived by her sons, Danny Randall Kelley and Ricky Delane Kelley, both of Arab, and Roger Dale Kelley of Guntersville; her daughters, Donna Burgett, Gail Swafford, and Janice Anita Bunch, all of Union Grove, Linda Oliver of Albertville, and Syble Jane Eudy of Blountsville; her mother, Etta Stover of Hartselle; her brothers, Adlie Oneal "Slim" Stover of Hobart, Indiana and Herman Curtis Stover of Decatur; her sisters, Frances Jewel "Peggy" Cheatwood of Cullman, Edna Lorene Dale and Rachel Sue Scheinert, both of Birmingham, Sarah Marie Blackwood of Hartselle, and Willodean "Dean" Rainey of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
