Obituary:
Mrs. Sarah E. Moore, 77, of Claysburg died enroute to Nason Hospital, Roaring Springs, Sunday, March 22, 1970, at 9 a.m. following an illness of several weeks. Her death was unexpected. Born November 1892, at Huntingdon, she was a daughter of John and Harriet Edelblute. She was united in marriage to Frank B. Moore who preceded her in death January 11, 1952. Surviving are a son, Robert W. Moore, Pittsburgh; two grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Robert W. Edelblute, Huntingdon; Clyde Edelblute, Altoona; Mrs. Gertrude E. Hale, Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Emma I. Long, Portage. The deceased was a member of the Claysburg United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Roaring Spring Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and to the Fanny Crosby Rebekah Lodge of Claysburgh which she had served as a secretary for many years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, at 2 p.m. from the Leslie funeral home, Claysburg, with the Rev. Donald M. Peregoy officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the services. Order of the Eastern Star will hold memorial services at the funeral home at 7:30 this evening. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested those wishing to contribute to the Claysburg United Methodist Church or to a charity of their choice.
