Superintendent of Riverview Cemetery: That which requires a good and lasting memory which never fails, is that of the caretaker or the superintendent of a cemetery, and Huntingdon has in William Wilson Edelblute, Superintendent of Riverview Cemetery, one who can be depended upon. For years he has devoted his time to the care and attention of graves. His father before him, now deceased, John H. Edelblute (died Jan., 1910), for many years held this position. His wife, Harriet (Briggs) Edelblute, died in Nov., 1905. The father of German, and the mother of English, extraction.

William Edelblute was born at Huntingdon, Pa., and at the same place received his education. Belongs to the Lutheran church. A member of the P.O.S. of A., Camp No. 321; the Knights of Pythias, of Huntingdon, Pa., and the Grange, of Donation, Huntingdon Co., Pa. His choice of politics is the Republican party. He delights in driving horses, and is a good judge of horses. He has five sisters: Lillian Gerlock, Emma Long, Sara Moore, Elizabeth Lewis and Gertrude Hale. Three brothers: Edward, Clyde and Robert Edelblute.

Wm. Edelblute was married to Sarah Iddings, Huntingdon, Pa., July 23, 1908. He is a well known man, has lived all his life in Huntingdon county, and is a progressive citizen.
