Betty D. Crotz, 82, of 1005 Heading Court died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 1992, at Fondulac Nursing Home in East Peoria.

Born Aug. 15, 1910, in North Hampton to Charles and Anna Holmer Reed, she married Earl Eugene Crotz on Nov. 3, 1927, in Lacon. He died April 29, 1978. Two sisters and one grandson also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Wilton E. "Bingo" and Charles R., both of Peoria, and James and Kenneth, both of San Diego; four daughters, Mrs. Richard ( Betty ) Abbey and Mrs. David (Rosalie) Cleeton, both of Peoria, Mrs. Wayne (Marilyn) Wilkins of Rome and Mrs. Steven (Cheryl) Brown of West Peoria; two brothers, Curt Reed and Tino Reed, both of Chillicothe; 29 grandchildren; and 30 great- grandchildren.

She was past president of the Peoria District Parent Teachers Association and co- initiator of the hot lunch programs in Peoria, and retired from District 150. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Weber Funeral Home in Chillicothe. The Rev. Ray Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery in rural Chillicothe.

Memorials may be made to the Chillicothe Library or to the District 150 Educational Fund.
