James was an avid golfer and loved horse racing. He was a golf pro at many courses and was a Class A PGA golfer from 1971-1995. James served honorably in the United States Navy for 21 years. He was a Corpsman Medic and was attached to the 3rd Marine Division in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife Gail, son James Michael (Vickie) of Covington, WA; daughter Michele Lynn (Dennis) Kasinak of Menifee, CA; son Richard (Mary) of Mesquite, NV; and son Steven (Victoria) of Poway, CA; grandchildren James Richard, Cristina, Earl, James Conrad, Emily, James Samuel, and Carra Elizabeth; brother Kenny and sisters Betty Jean, Marilyn and Cheri. His older brother, Wilton, passed away the following day on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. James was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles, and a sister Rose.
Cremation has taken place and, per the family's wishes, no services are planned at this time.
