Erman Lee Dowell, 58, a resident of Atwood, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1977, at Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. Born Sept. 17, 1918, in Washington County, he was the son of Claude and Ada Thompson Dowell. He was married Nov. 14, 1938, at Williamsport, to the former Lena Mae Pearson who survives.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Dowell was a retired farmer from Maple Leaf Farms of Milford and a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge #33.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, David Lee Dowell of Amboy, Victor Gene Dowell of Rt. 4, Peru, and Erman Jr. of Logansport; a daughter, Patricia Mae Van Cleef of Hobard; three brothers, William Dowell and Robert Dowell, both of Lafayette, and Paul Dowell of Remington; a sister, Lois (Mrs. Wayne) Cooper of rural Goodland; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM Thursday, Feb. 3, at Fisher Funeral Home, Logansport. Rites are pending.
