She was born July 16, 1913 in Mount Crawford, a daughter of John S. and Nancy (Miller) Wright. She had lived in Roanoke prior to moving to Harrisonburg in January of 200o.
She was a retired schoolteacher, teaching in Rockingham County, Harrisonburg and Roanoke schools where she retired after 38 years. She was a graduate of Madison College, now James Madison University. She was a member of Roanoke Retired Teachers Association Group.
She enjoyed the arts and music and was a member of the Summit Church of Brethren.
She was united in marriage to Elwood F. Dennison, who preceded her in death in 1995 she was also preceded in death by five sisters: and two brothers.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews
A memorial service will be conducted al Summit Church of the Brethren at 2 p.m. Monday by the Revs Steve Spire. John W. Glick and Pete Rain.
The burial be Monday at 11a.m. at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Bridgewater.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Friends may also call anytime at the Johnson Funeral Home.
