Mrs. Iva Florence Dennison, 54, wife of E. F. Dennison and a former resident of the Centerville, Weyers Cave, and Mt. Crawford communities, died at eleven o'clock Monday night at her home, 1221 Vivian Avenue in Roanoke. Mrs. Dennison has suffered from a heart condition for a number of years and had been seriously ill since August.

A daughter of the late John S. Wright and Nancy S. Miller Wright, she was born April 4, 1904 at Weyers Cave but spent the majority of her early life in the Mt. Crawford – Bridgewater section.

On June 2, 1932, she married E. F. Dennison. They resided in the Centerville and Mt. Crawford areas prior to moving to Richmond where they lived for 13 years. They lived in Roanoke for the past three years. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Besides her husband, dealer for the Snap-On Tool Co., in Roanoke, she is survived by her step-mother, Mrs. Ida Garber Wright, of Bridgewater; four sisters, Miss Vernie Virginia Wright, Richmond; Miss Mary Ethel Wright, Centerville; Mrs. C. B. Wampler, Weyers Cave; and Mrs. Jesse L. Glick, of Bridgewater, and a brother, Charles L. Wright, of R. F. D., Staunton. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Mrs. Delphia M. Wright, of Waynesboro, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Her parents, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion L. Simmons and Dr. Edward K. Ziegler will conduct the services. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Bridgewater.

The body is at the funeral home where relatives, friends and pallbearers are asked to meet Thursday afternoon at 1:45.

Active pallbearers will be Carl William Pohlman, William E. Gasser, T. Douglas Whissen, Paul E. Thompson, Ray T. Crowe and Frank, A. Jordan.

The members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7:30 until 9:00.
The family is staying at the home of Mrs. John S. Wright, Centerville.
