SENECA--Edna D. Sack, 78, Seneca, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at her home.

Mrs. Sack and her husband farmed north of Seneca from 1941 to 1962, and later in the Corning area until 1977.

She was born April 19, 1921, north of Seneca, the daughter of William Edward and Anna M. Engelken Stallbaumer. She attended St. Benedict School.

Mrs. Sack was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca, St. Ann's Altar Society, the Prayer Chain, Perpetual Adoration, and she did volunteer work with the Mission Center.


She married John Sack on Oct. 20, 1941, in St. Benedict. He survives.

Other survivors include six sons, John, Berryton; Gary and Leroy, both of Topeka; Daniel,Corning, Timothy and Michael, both of Seneca; five daughters, Mary Ann Troxel, Shawnee, Judy Steinlicht, Topeka; Barbara Wells, Valley Falls; Laura Noland, Seneca; and Carol Nantz, Keller, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ann Huninghake, Seneca, and Alma Sack, Denver; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
