Hugh Gallagher, an old citizen of the Coal Creek neighborhood, died Sunday and was buried in the Havensville cemetery Tuesday afternoon. We will try to get an obituary for next week.

Hugh Gallagher, who has lived in the Coal Creek neighborhood for a good many years, died at his home there on October 3. The funeral was held at the Coal Creek Catholic church Tuesday morning and burial was in the cemetery there. Mr. Gallagher had never married. He was a very quiet and retiring man. He and a sister had lived together on the farm for a long time and had cared for children of deceased relatives and had accomplished much that was fine and highly commendable.
His friends and neighbors all speak words of praise of the man and his good work. He will be missed by his many neighbors and friends.
