She is descended from two of the most prominent and wealthiest families in Wake County. She was the paternal grandchild of wealthy planter Urias Baucom & Elizabeth Lee; and the maternal grandchild of wealthy planter, Nathaniel Green Rand and his (1st) wife, Pherabee Parker.
Victoria was 20 years old in 1881 when she married her 26-year old first cousin, Nathan Pool.
The couple farmed in the Upper Clayton area and would become parents to 10 children, only 8 of whom are known to have survived: Frederick (c. 1883), Raymond (c. 1886), Lucy (c. 1888), Taylor (c. 1892), Byron (c. 1895), Dr. Bennett Pool (c. 1896), Allen Vaughan (c. 1899), and Mary E. (c. 1904).
Victoria was widowed in 1925 when her husband of 44 years passed at age 70. She survived him another 23 years, passing in 1948 at age 87. They are both buried in Clayton City Cemetery.
