Later in the year, on July 2, 1930, Ethel married George Obenland. The couple made their home in Defiance County. They had three daughters; Thelma Mae, Ellen Rose and Janice.
Ethel passed away on April 27, 1998 at Harborside Healthcare in Defiance County.
