Mary Anna Partee, 86, of Bryan, died Monday, April 19, 2004, at her residence.
Born April 3, 1918, at Ney, to Amelia Rose (Smith) and John Elser, she married Layton O. Partee on Sept. 7, 1940, at Bryan, and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1988.
Before her retirement, she had been a toy maker at the Ohio Art Company in Bryan for many years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James (Ruth Ann) Hardy of Ney; nine grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Carlin of Stryker and Freda Lipp of Defiance;
and a brother, Glen Elser of Ney.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Billie
Partee; two sisters; two brothers; and one great-granddaughter in 1986.
Visitation will be held today from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the service in
the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home-Bryan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. John
MacFarlane to officiate. Interment will follow in Ney Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church-Bryan or the American Heart Association.
