Ralph Acord, Sr., passed away on May 2, 2006 in Kokomo, Indiana. He was born on April 9, 1934 in Charter Oak, Missouri to William & Mary Hunter Acord. He married Martha Hunter in November 1958, she survives.


Ralph served his country in the US Army. After serving his country, he was employed at Delco Electronics as a furnace operator for over 30 years before retiring in 1983.


Ralph was a man of faith and active in his community. He was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church. During the 1970's, he coached Little League Baseball for Taylor Southeast in Indian Heights.


Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, being outdoors, watching his grandchildren play sports, and going for rides with his dog Libby. He also enjoyed his job selling fruits and vegetables around in Kokomo.


He cared for his wife all the way up to his death.


Ralph is survived by his wife, three sons, one step-son, two brothers, one sister, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. (Names omitted per FG policies).


He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Sue Acord; a daughter-in-law, Julie Acord; and his parents.
