Mary F. Acord, 86, 701 N. Berkley Road, went to be with the Lord at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, from Windsor Estates Health and Rehab Center.
Born April 26,1916, in Charter Oak, Mo., she was the daughter of Edward Otto and Ada Marie (Hudson) Hunter. On Aug. 5, 1933, in Charter Oak, Mo., she married William H. Acord, and he preceded her in death Sept. 10, 2000.
She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Kokomo. She loved her family very much and enjoyed talking and visiting with people.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ralph and Martha Acord, Kokomo, Clifford and Linda Acord, Fortville, and Glenn Acord, Indianapolis; one daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and J.B. Jones, Kokomo; one brother, Ollie Reed Hunter, Kokomo; grandchildren and their spouses, Ronald and Jody Jones, Cathy Miller, all of Kokomo, Charles Jones, Burlington, Mark Jones, Steven and Julie Acord, Gene Acord, Roger and Lori Acord, Glenn Acord Jr., all of Kokomo, Sherri Lydie, Logansport, Donald and Virginia Etherington, Kokomo; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Clyde Acord and Wolford Acord, both of Kokomo; one sister-in-law, E-Lane Hunter, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two sisters and six brothers.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with Pastor Everette Pafford officiating. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
