On August 9, 1876, Phillip was married to Lydia Estella Brockley Klitz in Sandusky County, OH. Phillip & Lydia Estella reportedly parented three daughters between the years of 1878 & 1884: Eva M. Amos, Estella "Stella" E. Amos, & Ida E. Amos. The "History of Wood County, Ohio" describes Phillip as "a farmer of Portage Township" and Phillip can be found on the 1920 Federal Census living in Portage Township and listing his occupation as "farmer."
