Mr. Ireland was an employee of the Gas and Electric Company in Covington.
Mr. Ireland was the father of Emmett Ireland, Covington Detective, and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Graham (James L.), Covington, KY.
Mr. Ireland had four brothers and one sister who predeceased him; Wesley Ireland (Ollie), Allie Ireland Haley (Charles), Joseph S. Ireland (Ollie), George William Ireland (Iva), and Cleveline Ireland (Bessie).
He was survived by one brother and one sister; John Robert Ireland (Mattie) and Stella Ireland Forsythe (Fred).
Services were held at the Allison & Rose Funeral Home, Covington, KY. Mr. Ireland was buried March 16, 1948 in the Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, KY.
