A native of Owen County, KY, Mrs. Forsythe was born March 10, 1878, a daughter of Asa William 'A. W.' Ireland and Mary Frances 'Frankie' Hughes Ireland.
Mrs. Forsythe was a member of Leesburg Christian Church. Stella Ireland and Fred Forsythe were married February 8, 1900 in Paris, KY (license in Harrison County, KY).
In addition to her husband, Fred, Mrs. Forsythe was survived by one son, Garrett Forsythe, Cynthiana, KY. and two granddaughters, Mrs. Robert Carpenter, Dover, N. H. and Miss Martha Forsythe, Harrison County, KY.
Seervices were conducted Monday, October 29, 1951 at the Smith-Rees Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Chester Ireland, Tolbert Ireland, Emmett Ireland, Eugene Ireland, John Wesley Ireland, and Clyde Haley.
