Oliver Alexander Atlas "Alex" Stout was born 8 Aug 1883 in Tunnel Hill, Johnson County, Illinois to Oliver Hazard Comodore Perry Stout and Sarah Jane Bryan.
He died 1 Nov 1954 in Clifton, Colorado. His parents brought him first to Stoddard County, Missouri and then to Long Lane, Dallas County, Missouri. The family then moved to Kiowa County, Kansas. Alex married Cora Clinkenbeard in Pratt County, Kansas on 24 July 1909. Alex and Cora had children: Norel, Edwin, Carmine, and Ralph. The first two were born in Mullenville Kansas. Carmine was born in Jefferson City, Missouri and Ralph was born in Alden, Rice County, Kansas. The family moved in the winter from Kansas to Colorado in one of the old WWI trucks that had a canvas top. Carmine told me she almost froze to death. Of Alexa and Cora's children, only Carmine is living. Alex was my great uncle.
Cora was born 5 May 1889 in Laclede County, Missouri to John Elder Clinkenbeard and Kathleen Mullican. Cora died 15 Aug 1984 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
