Hubert was son of Oliver Hazard Commodore Perry Stout and Sarah Jane Bryan. When Hubert was about 10 years old his parents moved to Johnson Co. IL near Tunnel Hill. Hubert was married to Nora Bell Bankston in Johnson Co. IL in 1891. They were divorced. By 1895, the family was in Stoddard Co. MO where Hubert married Mary Rosa Ellar Tankersley on 26 Dec. They moved to Phillipsburg, MO in 1905 and stayed there several years. Hubert was a carpenter. He helped build he first building of the Christian Church at Phillipsburg. In 1912, the family moved to Greensburg, Kiowa Co. KS where they lived until their oldest son Vollie died in WWI. They then moved back to Conway so they could bury Vollie in the cemetery there. Hubert and Mary lived at Conway, Springfield, and finally Lebanon.
